Meet Our Mascots
Our fun and colorful mascots are not just cartoon drawings – below, we invite you to meet our mascots, the true faces of TropiCool! Don’t let their big beaks intimidate you; they mostly use them as hands. They absolutely love meeting new people! Their hobbies include destroying giant wooden blocks, eating delicious nuts and veggies, flying, preening their beautiful blue and yellow feathers, and occasionally yelling. Don’t be alarmed if, when you call in, you sometimes hear a bird on the other end – they do come into our office.

Here’s a fun fact: Did you know you can hear a Macaw up to 5 miles away when they do their flock call? You can watch to see what these little guys are up to live on Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 12 PM to 4 PM! You can also meet our feathered friends at every 4th Friday event located in Uptown Westerville, Ohio."
Meet Malibu – The Maverick Macaw
Malibu is our vibrant and playful Bolivian Blue and Gold Macaw, born on June 24, 2022. He’s not just another pretty feathered face—he’s our strongest flyer, earning him the nickname "Maverick" because of his love for soaring high whenever he gets the chance.
Malibu is as affectionate as he is adventurous. He enjoys hanging upside down from his handlers’ hands, wrestling, and even rolling onto his back for some well-deserved cuddles. If you’re lucky, he might just show off his love for pecans by letting out a satisfied "Mmm!" after every crunchy bite.
Not only is Malibu a champion flyer, but he’s also quite the talker! He can say "Hello," "Wow," "No," "Stop," make kissing noises, and even whistle like a pro. If you ever visit our office, don’t be surprised if you hear a knocking on the glass—that’s just Malibu trying to get your attention for a little playtime.
At TropiCool Heating, Air Conditioning, and Plumbing, Malibu is more than a feathered friend—he’s part of the family. Whether he’s soaring through the air or making everyone laugh with his antics, he brings joy to our team and customers alike.
Stop by and say "Hello!"—he just might say it back!
Meet Moana – Our Chatty Diva
Moana is our beautiful Bolivian Blue and Gold Macaw, born on July 9, 2022. She may be the shyest of our macaw family, but don’t let that fool you—she’s always got something to say! With an impressive vocabulary, Moana can say "Hello," "Wow," "No," "Stop," "Hi Moana," laugh, whistle, and much more. Whether you’re listening or not, she’s usually chattering away to herself from the highest perch in the room. If you happen to be nearby, you can pretend she’s talking to you—but let’s be honest, she’s probably just having a conversation with herself!
While Moana may not be as bold as some of her macaw siblings, she’s got a soft spot for her favorite handler, Bryan. She’s not always the first to approach, but when she’s in the right mood, she’ll wrestle and play just like the rest. However, if there’s one thing that always gets her attention, it’s food! Whether it’s pellets, veggies, fruit, or nuts, Moana is always first to the bowl and the last to leave—because a diva like her deserves the best!
With her independent spirit and sassy personality, Moana keeps us entertained every day. She may be a bit of a diva, but that just makes us love her even more!
Meet Kiwi – The Mischievous Macaw
Kiwi is our feisty and fun-loving Harlequin Macaw, a stunning hybrid of a Green Wing Macaw and a Blue and Gold Macaw. Born on May 8, 2023, she’s the youngest of our macaw crew—but don’t let that fool you! Kiwi may be young, but she’s got a BIG personality (and an even bigger appetite for destruction).
If it can be chewed, broken, or shredded—Kiwi will find a way! No perch, chain, food bowl, toy, or even a wall stands a chance against her powerful beak. She’s a curious and playful troublemaker, always testing the limits (and the durability of everything around her).
When it comes to handling, Kiwi can be a little "beaky"—she doesn’t always realize just how strong she is when preening or playing. But don’t worry, if she gets in trouble, she immediately switches into baby mode—bobbing her head, flipping her little wings, and looking as innocent as possible... before jumping right back into mischief!
Kiwi is still finding her voice, but she’s already a decent talker. She can say "Hello," "Wow," and loves to make kissing noises—especially when pressing her beak to your face. With time, we know she’ll have plenty more to say!
Kiwi may be a handful, but she keeps life at TropiCool Heating, Air Conditioning, and Plumbing exciting every day. She’s a playful, sassy, and endlessly entertaining part of our team!
Want to see her antics for yourself? Stop by and say "Hello!"—if she’s not too busy causing trouble, she just might say it back!
Meet Mango – The Guardian Macaw
Mango is our bold and affectionate Harlequin Macaw, a hybrid of a Green Wing Macaw and a Bolivian Blue and Gold Macaw. Born on May 10, 2023, he has been Kiwi’s shadow since day one—and her fiercest protector. In fact, during their very first introduction, Mango latched onto Bryan’s finger to keep him from touching Kiwi, and to this day, he remains her loyal guardian and best friend.
As the second-largest of our macaws, Mango also boasts the strongest beak. He loves to test his bite pressure while playing and can sometimes get a little too rough—but don’t worry, he’s quick to calm down when his handlers say "Ow"or "Stop."
Mango is a selective snuggle bug—but when he decides it’s cuddle time, he goes all in. His entire head fluffs up as he leans his full body into his handler’s neck, soaking up every scratch. When he’s not in the mood for affection, he’ll politely (or not-so-politely) let you know with a gentle beak nudge—or a firm one, if you don’t take the hint!
One of Mango’s most endearing quirks is his need for constant contact. If he’s feeling unsure about something, he always keeps a claw on his handler’s hand, using them as his personal anchor.
When it comes to talking, Mango is one of our strongest speakers, second only to Moana. His vocabulary includes "Hello," "Ow," "Stop," "No," and whistling. His favorite phrase? A loud, enthusiastic "Wow!"—which he loves to shout while cheering on his handlers as they sweep and clean his aviary space.
Mango may be a gentle giant one moment and a tough protector the next, but one thing is for sure—he’s a deeply loyal, loving, and playful part of our TropiCool Heating, Air Conditioning, and Plumbing family.
Meet Maui – The Resilient Catalina Macaw
Maui is our stunning Catalina Macaw, a hybrid between a Scarlet Macaw and a Blue and Gold Macaw. While we don’t know his exact birthday, we do celebrate his Gotcha Day on November 14th—the day he became part of our family! As a rescue, Maui carries the weight of his past experiences, which sometimes makes him a bit wary of new people and situations. But despite his history, Maui’s strength and resilience shine through every day.
Maui is known for having some of the most striking colors of all our macaws. His vibrant reds, blues, and yellowsmake him a true eye-catcher, but his heart is a little guarded. Maui is not as tame as some of our other mascots, and he can sometimes take out his past traumas on his current handlers. However, he has a special bond with Tatjana, who he trusts more than anyone, and will tolerate Bryan—but only if Tatjana isn’t nearby.
When it comes to play, Maui isn’t a big fan of traditional toys, but he loves to peel ropes and coconuts. While he may be a little picky about food, pistachios are his absolute favorite, and he’ll make sure to leave room for them! He’s not the biggest fan of fruits and veggies, but we’re working on it—one pistachio at a time!
Maui’s vocabulary is on the smaller side compared to our other macaws, but he’s still quite expressive. He can say "Hello," "Ahh," and loves to whistle. When a stranger enters his space, Maui’s grand greeting involves throwing up his wings as if to say, "Welcome!" He also loves getting his head scratched and will happily bob his head along if you sing or dance with him.
Unfortunately, due to his past home experiences, Maui has lost his ability to fly, but don’t worry—he’s an absolute master climber and can navigate his surroundings like a pro. So, if you ever see Maui out and about without his harness, you can rest assured he’s still in control of his world.
Maui may have a past that’s left some scars, but every day he’s moving forward, showing us just how strong and capable he really is. He’s a beautiful reminder of the power of second chances and the love that can heal even the deepest wounds.
